Flagrant Leather Ballistic Belt 2.0 – 1 1/2″ in Black

Flagrant Beard was asked to make a belt that looked casual, but had the rigidity and stiffness needed for a special plain-clothes law-enforcement division.  It had to be comfortable, and at the same time, hold up to the load of duty equipment, designed specifically for applications where the folding or rolling over of the belt is not desired.  The Flagrant Leather Ballistic Belt was born.  

With the 2.0, we’ve updated the belt based on end-user feedback, while keeping all the features you love.  The SCUBA webbing now stops just before the holes in order to reduce the profile through the buckle, and we’ve gone to elongated, oval holes to help the buckle lay flat.  You may have noticed we switched from alpha sizing with only five choices, to now 11 sizes ranging from 30″ to 50″, ensuring you get a perfect fit.  And the Chicago screws still allow you to swap out buckles.  Best of all, we’ve increased the articulation of the belt, making it even more comfortable.

This “English” bridle leather is an example of innovation and expertise in tanning. The U.S. native steer hides are vegetable tanned or veg tanned (all natural from tree bark and other parts of plants) in large vats for 30 days. After tanning, it is drum dyed for true dye penetration and then stuffed with greases, tallows and waxes that make it weather resistant, and add strength, life and durability.

The 9/10 oz leather is backed with ballistic SCUBA webbing, making it perfect for holding up the weight of your daily carry essentials any other gear you like to have at the ready.
